Description
This load skate kit is designed to move heavy machinery and plant across flat, hard workshop floors where a forklift or crane can’t easily position a load. The 4-piece setup includes two steerable front skates and two fixed rear skates, linked with adjustable bars so the spacing can be set to suit different load widths. With a 30-tonne safe working load, it supports controlled relocation of large equipment during installation, maintenance and factory reconfigurations, while keeping the load low to the ground for stability.
Each skate is manufactured from powder-coated steel with non-slip rubber decks to help keep equipment seated during transport. Nylon rollers are suited to smooth, level surfaces and allow the load to be moved and positioned with less effort when compared with dragging or improvised methods. The steerable front skates provide directional control for tight access areas and small turning adjustments, while the fixed rear skates help maintain tracking and even weight distribution across the four contact points.
