Description
Description
This low-voltage sliding gate automation kit is built to convert an existing sliding gate to powered operation on residential and remote access sites. The system uses a 24VDC motor supplied via a plug-in power module that connects to a standard 240V outlet, reducing the need for fixed mains wiring at the gate. It is rated to drive gates up to 800kg and up to 8m long, with a gate moving speed of 16–18m/min, making it suitable for heavier domestic gates and long openings where consistent operation matters.
Installation is designed to be straightforward, with mounting hardware supplied and a low-voltage cable run that can be positioned up to 30m from the power point (or 60m with an extension). The unit also accepts 24VDC input for battery backup or solar-supported operation, helping keep access working during outages. Outdoor use is supported by an IP54-rated housing and operating temperatures from -20°C to +70°C, while spring limit switches help manage end stops and remote control operation provides convenient day-to-day access without manual handling.
